A Church of Ireland building, this church opened its' doors in 1885. Over the centuries, a number of churches have been built at this particular place.
It is said that St. Patrick himself founded the first church which occupied the site.

Wow, I enlarged the photo and the way the light comes through the patterns in the steeple -- absolutely amazing!
That is one gorgeous church! The steeple-tower is indeed amazing to look at! It's so intricate!
I found this blog quite by accident. And very happy it happened. I'll be taking a peak regularly to see what new pics you've posted. You can't be much of an eejit if you take such interesting photos. But then, I'm American - what do I know?!
